Posted on: 16 January 2020

The line-up for the Hampshire, Berkshire and Isle of Wight Museum Development Forum on 4th February has now been confirmed.

The day starts with a keynote from Emma Chaplin, Director of the Association for Independent Museums, followed by an update on the South East Museum Development.  Then, after lunch, there are breakout sessions including one on Exhibition Tax Relief with tax experts from Scott-Moncrieff.  There will also be session on the Kids in Museums manifesto, plus a chance to hear about current opportunities and challenges in the sector from our Directors’ Panel.  The day concludes with three real life case studies from museums in Hampshire and Berkshire.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to network with colleagues throughout the day and representatives from Artswork, Arts Council and the South East Museum Development team will be on hand to offer advice and answer questions.

The Forum event this year is being held at Action Stations in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on Tuesday 4th February, 10am-4pm.  It is free to attend and open to anyone working or volunteering with museums across the south east.
