Successful Digital Marketing for Engaging Schools

The arts and cultural sector’s rapid movement to online delivery over the past year has led to some fantastic new ways of working and a great deal of learning. A similar move also took place in the education sector when online platforms, tools and opportunities were widely implemented at pace.

The cultural sector has generated a wealth of digital content, which will sit alongside the real-life visits as organisations continue to re-open. This provides real opportunity for organisations and creatives to deepen their engagement with schools. It also leads us to ask ourselves some questions:

  • Who is using the online offers?
  • How do we compete in an increasingly accessible local and global marketplace?
  • How can we ensure digital offers don’t diminish in-person bookings?
  • How should we deliver school specific content alongside mainstream programming?

This one-hour panel conversation is presented in collaboration with Arts Council England Bridge Organisations and will be hosted by Roberta Beattie, Website Tech Champion, Digital Culture Network and Gary Futcher, Programme Lead for Education, Real Ideas.

  • Opportunities and challenges within the current education landscape.
  • Practical marketing tips to engage schools.

Who is this for?

Those with responsibility for marketing and communications in arts and cultural sector organisations who want to better understand the challenges and opportunities of engaging with schools and how to effectively reach teachers and educators.

What type of webinar is it?

Hosted panel discussion. You will be able to ask questions using the Q+A function and engage with the presenters using the chat. This session will be hosted as a Zoom Webinar.

Can I book a place?

This webinar is presented as part of a funded programme for arts and cultural organisations. Free places are available for anyone who works with or for a publicly funded arts and cultural organisation and for those currently in receipt of or usually eligible for Arts Council funding.

Can I receive 1-2-1 support?

The Digital Culture Network is part of a funded programme for arts and cultural organisations. We have a team of nine Tech Champions across the country, who can provide free 1-2-1 support in a range of areas including digital strategy development, websites, social media, data analytics, digital content creation, SEO and paid marketing, CRM, box office and ticketing systems and email marketing. This support is available for those currently funded by, or usually eligible for, Arts Council England funding. You can indicate whether you would like to be contacted by a Tech Champion as part of the sign-up process.
