The South Region Conservation Network, which brings together conservation professionals from across the region, recently drew attention to the wealth of resources available from the Historic England Research Reports available online.
The Research Report series includes research carried out by Historic England (formerly English Heritage), as well as work they funded other organisations to carry out on their behalf.
Here is a flavour of the type of research reports available:
- Review of Animal Remains from the Neolithic and Early Bronze Age of Southern Britain
- The Mystery Wreck Hampshire: Tree-Ring Analysis and Wood Identification of Ship Timbers.
- First World War National Factories: An Archaeological, Architectural and Historical review
The reports can be accessed via a search gateway for the Historic England Research Report Series.
