Back to Basics: ‘How to care for and conserve collections’Event Date:29 June 2021 10:00 am — 29 June 2021 12:00pm
Collections Care and Conservation are essential for the preservation of your collections and Accreditation. The core of good Collections Care practice is an understanding of the risks to your collections and how to manage them, and this is the focus of the session. The virtual training session will cover risks from the ten agents of deterioration, discuss what you can do to manage these risks in accordance with best practice and crucially when you should seek professional conservation guidance.
Please join Sophia Oelman, Preventive Conservator with Spencer & Fry, for a Zoom training session on Collections Care and Conservation.
This session will link to another training session, on 5th July, that looks at these Collections Care ideas and practices in the context of Benchmarking, Accreditation and Effective Conservation Planning.
