Family Friendly Museum Audits

Are you looking at how best to welcome families to your museum?  Would you benefit from a professional audit of your site?

We are inviting museums in the south east to apply for a family-friendly audit to help you develop your family offer.

All museums are eligible, whether you are looking to start family friendly work, want to look at embedding a family welcome across the museum or want to focus on engaging with teenagers in a new way.

What does it involve?

An expert from Kids in Museums [https://kidsinmuseums.org.uk/] will visit your museum and carry out an audit on all aspects of the visitor experience from a family point of view.  You will then receive a follow-up report with detailed advice for developing your offer, plus a grant of £250 to put some of the recommendations into practice.

How do I apply?

Complete the application form and send to Katrina.burton@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk by 10th June 2019

We will then assess the applications and contact the successful museums to arrange the audit visit over the summer.

Once you have received the report from the audit, you will be eligible for up to £250 from the South East Museum Development Programme to put some of the recommendations into practice.

We will ask you to contact us with your plans for expenditure and we will need your record of expenditure and copies of receipts by 31st March 2020.
