FREE Diversity Training

Event Date:15 March 2022 3:00 pm — 15 March 2022 5:00pm

Free diversity training from IW Museums and Schools

The IW Museums and Schools Partnership has commissioned a (free to attend) diversity training session to which you and other staff/volunteers at your organisation are welcome (please do share this invitation within your organisation). Taking place on Tuesday 15th March between 3 and 5pm, this is an online (zoom) session (link to follow).

Organised by Franko Figueiredo (Stonecrabs Theatre), the training will explore how to include diversity in everything that you do, using the correct language and being honest and ethical in your interpretation of history. The session will be led by Dan Vo, a freelance museum consultant and media producer, he also works as the Marketing Manager of Queer Britain, the UK’s first LGBTQ+ museum. He founded the LGBTQ+ tours at the V&A and has developed LGBTQ+ programming for the National Gallery, National Galleries Scotland, National Museum Wales and Fitzwilliam Museum. He is the Project Manager of the Queer Heritage and Collections Network and teaches at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. He is also patron of LGBT+ History Month.

We are keen that the training is as useful to attendees as possible so if you have any specific questions you would like the session to address, please email Franko ([email protected]) with these by Monday 7th March so these can be passed on to Dan.

Please RSVP to [email protected] if you would like to attend and to receive the zoom link.
