Session Summary

AIM grants are available to help members and independent museums, to develop and grow their organisations and underpin key areas of activity.

This session will introduce you to AIM, it’s role in supporting the museum sector, and in particular the grants that are currently open. If you haven’t applied for a grant with AIM before, or are just not sure what they offer, then join to meet Fiona Woolley, Grants Administrator, for this introduction to AIM grants.

Speaker Background:

Fiona brings to the role a wealth of knowledge and experience gained through 20 years working in museums across the Southeast. Including roles as a Museum Development Officer, Fine & Applied Art Curator, Collections Manager and Heritage Interpretation Manager with responsibility for education and events. As Grant Administrator with AIM she is available to talk to you about your project and support you through the application process.

The session with SEMD will cover:

• Introduction to all AIM grants – including news on grants that are open for applications

• How the application process works and the information you’ll need to provide

• Top tips for applying/what we look for in an application

• What to avoid when applying for a grant.

+ Plus, there’ll be time for you to ask questions about which grant scheme is right for your museum.
