Connecting with Families

Event Date:19 September 2022 10:00 am — 19 September 2022 12:00pm

This is the first in a new series of audience development virtual sessions in collaboration with the Arts Marketing Association helping museums to reconnect with families.

The first session will look at how families use museums, often a group who are keen participants of online activities during lockdown. Now they’re returning to buildings, we want to build on that and ensure they have a good experience and keep coming back.

This session is aimed at:

  • museums who are looking to re start their family programme following lock down.
  • small and medium sized museums who have attracted family audiences in the past but are looking at new ways to engage with this critical audience.

Objectives

Objectives of the session to help museums deepen their connection with audiences.. They will explore how to work with influencers for mutual benefit.

Content

  • Look at what you already know about the families in your area and how you can build on this.
  • Explore how you currently communicate with them.
  • Think about how you join up your marketing and comms messaging with your in-person experience.
  • Look at the journey you’re taking them on, how you make sure they have a great experience and want to come back.
  • Working with influencers
