As part of our commitment to supporting museums to become more WIDE (Welcoming, Inclusive, Diverse and Equitable) we are sharing an EDI self-assessment resource to help museums to take their first steps on their EDI journey.
Participants in our EDI focused MuseumWIDE project (2021-23) started their journey by completing a self-assessment survey which enabled the museums to evaluate their current EDI position, determine their key priorities, goals and plan how they would achieve them.
We are pleased to share this resource with you (see below), as we recognise that museums in the south east and beyond could also benefit from the self-assessment process to kickstart their own thinking around how they set goals to meet their Equity, Diversity and Inclusion targets.
Self-Assessment Video
Isilda Almeida, our specialist EDI Consultant has created a short (9 mins, 34 seconds) video introducing you to the self-assessment process and how it can link with your EDI action planning.

You can download the EDI self-assessment form in Microsoft Word format below.
In the video you will hear Isilda speak about developing your EDI action planning.
To help you get started in creating an EDI Action Plan we have provided a simple template to start gathering your ideas, which you can download below in a Microsoft Excel worksheet format.
