Volunteer Management: Day to Day

In some museums, volunteer management is the responsibility of one person, whereas in others that responsibility may be shared depending on the roles volunteers are undertaking.  Whichever approach you take, it is important that volunteers feel part of the team and know who they can ask if they have a question on any given day.

Day-to-day volunteer management is time-consuming, so having systems in place and ways in which to share the load will help a volunteer co-ordinator to manage the volunteer team effectively.
