Family friendly museum audits

Are you looking at how best to welcome families to your museum over the coming months?  Would you benefit from a professional audit of your physical and virtual family offer?

We are inviting museums in the south east to apply for a family-friendly audit to help you understand and develop your family offer in these unusual times.

What does it involve?

An expert from Kids in Museums will undertake an audit of your current offer, whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place, from the point of view of a visiting family.

This will include a virtual tour of your site, interviews with relevant staff and an assessment of any online marketing and pre-visit information provided.  The audit will also cover any virtual activities on offer for families.   You will then receive a follow-up report with detailed, practical advice for developing and building on your offer, both now and as restrictions are lifted.

You will also be able to apply for a small grant (up to £200) from the South East Museum Development Programme to put some of the recommendations into practice.

How do I apply?

There are limited numbers of Audits available.  Please complete the Expression of Interest form and return to katrina.burton@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk

There are 2 rounds for applications as we know some museums may be bringing staff back and reopening later than others.
