This new role for the Museum will provide flexible support to our visitor facing operations teams. While there is some administration activity this is not an admin role. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to develop a detailed understanding of Museum or visitor attraction operations across visitor experience, event operations and day to day front of house volunteer management. You will spend a considerable amount of time working face to face with our visitors, volunteers, staff and suppliers. You will also provide support to the wider Operations team including the Chief Operating Officer, Events and Facilities teams to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our visitor and volunteer operations.

The role requires someone with strong communications skills and a very flexible, “can do” attitude, able to work effectively with a very wide variety of stakeholders. Your daily life will be a mix of desk-based activities and being out and about on site supporting the Visitor Experience Manager with volunteer communications and ensuring we are set up for success each day.

You may also be involved in supporting our events and activities programmes, this could include physically helping with site preparations, communicating event requirements and assisting with visitors on the day. After an appropriate training period you will also be expected to act as one of our daily Duty Managers.
