Have you got the people skills, eye for operational detail, passion for food and drive to lead a team that will deliver consistently top-class services? If so, Brooklands Museum, which has just been awarded the esteemed Traveller Choice award by TripAdvisor, has just the role for you.
After 15 years of a successful partnership with a catering provider the time was right to bring our catering operation inhouse, so we are now seeking a dynamic and forward-looking person to lead our food, drink and hospitality through this exciting new era.
This is already a vibrant and successful catering operation. Revenue is well in excess of £1m, covering multiple activities including a daily visitor café, dedicated Member’s bar and restaurant, corporate dinners and events, conferences, special visitor events, weddings, private functions, and fine dining.
We seek a self-motivated caterer, a strong people manager with extensive experience across high quality food and drink retail, hospitality and events to take accountability for the smooth and successful running of the Museums catering operations and generate increased income.
You will need a strong commercial drive and focus, ability to get the best from people, a commitment to delivering excellent customer service and the vision to develop strong productive relationships with a varied group of stakeholders both internally and externally.
You will be expected to lead the team from the front and must be as happy leading operations as you are developing the catering operation and delivering the P&L. You will also be an active part of the Museum’s extended leadership team delivering the Museum’s overall priorities.
This is an outstanding opportunity to build on our success and drive our food, beverage, and hospitality to the next level.
You’ll be joining a Museum team where 93% of the staff team feel their job is worthwhile and 95% of our volunteers look forward to coming to Brooklands to volunteer (from responses to our 2021 staff and volunteer surveys).
We have invested in our organisational culture over the past 2 years and encourage everyone to be their true self at the Museum. The team have committed to ensuring we all feel involved, supported and appreciated, by working as one team, communicating thoughtfully, being proactive and showing we care.
We are working together internally and with external partners to promote a more inclusive and diverse environment, not just at the Museum but within the industries with which we have links, such as Motorsport.
We are proud to be a mindful employer and have trained mental health first aiders to support our team.
Please note we may interview before the closing date (26th September), so apply today!Full details [external link]
