The Programme Team at Hampshire Cultural Trust delivers an ambitious, ever-changing programme of exhibitions and displays in our 23 venues across Hampshire. We seek a Collections Programme Manager to allow us to realise these plans and put museum collections and their stories at the heart of everything we do.
As Collections Programme Manager you’ll provide effective line management to our team of conservation and technical specialists and will coordinate central collections, exhibition and conservation resources to deliver outstanding cultural experiences.
A bit about you
You’ll be an experienced manager who loves seeing your team succeed. Your supportive nature will encourage individuals to reach their full potential and the wider team to meet objectives. Coming from an exhibition-based, heritage or similar background, you’ll understand current programme trends and audience needs. You’ll be highly organised and able to balance and prioritise multiple projects from across our portfolio to ensure the best possible audience impact. You’ll be able to call upon your previous experiences working in multi-disciplinary teams and your great communication skills to manage the needs and expectations of both internal and external stakeholders. Your experience and advice regarding good practice in collections management and exhibition approaches will ensure that whilst our high programming standards are maintained, we constantly continue to seek improvements and make our collections even more accessible, engaging and sustainable.
