Accreditation for beginners
Could Museum Accreditation benefit my museum? Come and find out in this introductory session. We’ll look at what the benefits are and what’s involved in an application. You’ll learn if your museum is likely to be eligible for Accreditation or whether you will need to make changes first. Sarah Brown from the Collections Trust will talk about managing collections and using Spectrum 5.0, the standard for maintaining collections and the information about them. Kate Hebditch, SEMDP Accreditation Adviser, will outline what plans and policies you will need to develop and how to go about making an application.
This session is relevant to trustees, staff or volunteers from museums that are not Accredited at present.
