Resources from the National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing
The National Alliance for Museums, Health & Wellbeing is a consortium led by UCL Public and Cultural Engagement and including National Museums Liverpool, the British Museum, the UK Medical Collections Group represented by the Thackray Medical Museum, Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, Manchester Museums and Galleries Partnership, the Research Centre for Museums and Galleries (RCMG) at the University of Leicester’s School of Museum Studies, the Museums Association and the National Alliance for Arts, Health & Wellbeing. The Alliance is funded by Arts Council England.
The consortium's website https://museumsandwellbeingalliance.wordpress.com/ is a place where information about museums and health can be shared; to improve existing practice, help build resilience and provide resources and support for those individuals and organisations working in this area of activity. You can find news, resources, events, toolkits and examples of good practice for inspiration.
You can also sign up for the consortium's JISC list to receive emails from other members with ideas, opportunities and good practice. Go to www.jiscmail.ac.uk/MUSEUMSANDWELLBEINGALLIANCE to subscribe.
