SEWS Grants 2016-2017
SEWS Development Grants 2016-7
The SEWS Development Grant scheme supports museums to undertake development activities that relate to needs identified in their forward plan. The maximum amount for an application is £3,000 (smaller grant applications are welcome).
There are no set deadlines - applications will be considered on a ‘first-come, first served’ basis at any time up to Friday, 30th September 2016, or until the available grant monies are spent.
The scheme opens up opportunities for Surrey, East and West Sussex museums to meet the needs of their organisation. Applicants are advised to follow the guidelines and apply on the relevant form. All grant recipients will need to complete a case study report.
There is a separate fund to support individual CPD Bursaries, see below.

SEWS CPD Bursaries 2016-7
The SEWS continuous professional development (CPD) bursary scheme supports individual staff, trustees and volunteers to attend training events across the United Kingdom that are of benefit to their host museum. The host museum must support the application and agree to administer the grant on behalf of the individual.
There are no set deadlines - applications will be considered on a ‘first-come, first served’ basis at any time .Bursaries can be used towards conference or training course fees; travel, subsistence and overnight accommodation if appropriate. The minimum amount grant aided is £100, and the maximum is £1,000.
Any CPD proposals involving museum networks, and/or multiple numbers of staff and volunteers from one museum, should apply via the SEWS Development Grants (see above).
We regret that SEWS CPD Bursaries are not available to staff or volunteers from Major Partner Museums.
