Working with Young People in Museums - toolkit from the National Museum of Scotland
The National Museum of Scotland has developed a Tool-kit for Working with Young People in Museums which draws on their experience of a two year national project, Scotland Creates: A Sense of Place, led by the National Museum of Scotland and generously supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Creative Scotland.
This project shows how museums can provide young adults with positive personal, cultural and learning experiences, develop their creativity and improve their life skills.
The Museum is continuing to learn and develop their approach to working with young people and would be interested to hear from anyone doing similar work, who may have case studies, toolkits and experiences to share. Please contact Christine McLean, Community Engagement Manager, if so.
