Security Review 'sharing day'
Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations. We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Please contact email@example.com to register your interest.
Register your event for Children’s Art Week 2014!
Children's Art Week (16 - 22 June 2014) will shine a spotlight on the many organisations that create opportunities for children and young people to experience the visual arts together with their parents, teachers and carers, and join in a broad range of practical art activities with artists and makers.
50 events have already registered - events can be registered up to the deadline of Monday 19 May 2014.
engage welcomes involvement from different groups and organisations - as long as the activity encourages children, young people, families or teachers to get involved in the visual arts.
Visit the Registration Page! Your event can be something that you had already planned to take place, or it can be a special activity that you have created just for Children's Art Week.
Once you have submitted your information your event will go live on the engage website (subject to approval). The event will be included in engage's promotional plan for Children's Art Week, devised by an arts PR consultant who will be working closely with engage in the run up to the week itself. You will also be sent specially branded Children's Art Week stickers to distribute during your event. You can download useful resources to help you plan and promote your event in your local area.
engage ask that you complete an evaluation form to let them know how your event went and how many people took part. They would also like you to document your event as much as possible, through photographs and or video, as this will help them to promote your event more widely. There are lots of ways that you can submit images:
- via the Children's Art Week Tumblr blog at www.engage.org/CAW-tumblr
- upload and share with the engage Facebook page
- Tweet your images @engagevisualart using the hashtag #ChildrensArtWeek
For further information please visit the Childrens Art Week section of the engage website.
Children’s Art Week is organised by engage, with support from The Foyle Foundation.
