Security Review 'sharing day'
Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations. We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Please contact email@example.com to register your interest.
New programme to support collaboration between arts and cultural organisations and Teaching Schools
'Teaching Schools’ are schools that play a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff and headteachers, as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support.
Artswork, with the endorsement of the National College for Teaching and Leadership, is launching a new scheme to enable Teaching Schools to identify, lead and champion development and progression through arts and cultural education. The programme aims to build long term, sustainable collaborations between Teaching Schools and the arts and cultural sectors. Through this programme there is an opportunity for museums and other cultural organisations to secure investment from Artswork to develop new and innovative business models with Teaching School Alliances. You can read full information about this programme here. If you are interested in taking part, Lorraine Cheshire, Schools Liaison Manager at Artswork, can provide further advice and can assist you by putting you in contact with potential partner Teaching Schools - or contact your local Artswork lead:
BOB: Ruth Taylor
Hampshire Solent: Peter Taylor
