Launch of Arts Award Supporter

‘Arts Award Supporter’ is a way of linking arts, cultural and heritage organisations with young people doing Arts Award.
‘Arts Award Supporters’ are organisations or artists offering activities that young people can use towards their Arts Award, such as:

  • workshops
  • arts and cultural events which they can review
  • opportunities to find out about artists and cultural opportunities
  • a chance to share skills or lead arts projects

‘Supporter’ offers you a way of promoting your activities to young people and Arts Award centres for free. You don’t need to run the Arts Award qualifications or have any specialist staff - just think about how your existing programmes can contribute to Arts Award! When you have developed your offer you will be added to the Arts Award Supporter map.

On 4 March 2014, an Arts Award Supporter Day will take place at Norden Farm, Maidenhead - a workshop for all libraries, museums, arts and cultural organisations and freelance arts and cultural practitioners in Berkshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. It is open to arts and cultural organisations and independent arts practitioners.

On 5 March 2014, a Special Arts Award adviser forum meeting will take place in Brighton - aimed at Arts Award advisers who are independent practitioners and arts and cultural organisations in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. This session, led by a member of the Arts Award National team from Trinity College London, will focus on the Arts Award Supporter scheme and its benefits to the arts and cultural sector.
