UK Web Archive: The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Collection

Does your organisation have a web site? If so, you could contribute it to the Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Collection. All the hard work you have put into your web site, and all of its content, would remain accessible for generations to come, and could be used by people looking at what life was like in your community in the 21st century.

The UK Web Archive, together with local record offices, is keen to develop its web collections. It would like to work with local communities in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to gather web sites reflecting the diversity of those communities.

The British Library is offering this service free of charge and you will need to complete a short form giving permission to the UK Web Archive to harvest your web site which will then occur automatically. Your site can’t be harvested without your permission.

You can find the nomination form is on the British Library's website.

Please enter ‘Hampshire Collection’ into the ‘notes’ section of the form to ensure that the site is added to the collection. Please let Heather Needham at Hampshire Archives and Local Studies ( know if you nominate your site.
