Job Opportunity: Assistant Curator, Egham Museum

Job Title: Assistant Curator
Contract: 2 years, Fixed Term
Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £22,500 p.a pro rata
Reports To: Curator
Responsible For: Volunteers, interns as required

Purpose:
The Assistant Curator will oversee the effective delivery of the Egham Museum’s day-to-day management in line with the organisational vision, mission and objectives, ensuring the Museum continues to offer a high standard of visitor engagement.

The role will also include the development of an entertaining, interesting and informative Events Programme that allows visitors to engage with the Museum, its collection and its people, as well as generate an income as part of our National Lottery Heritage Funded project. The post-holder will manage the programming and delivery of this offer, managing the stewardship of volunteers and overseeing the smooth-running of evening events. The range of events produced will be innovative in approach and strategic in terms of meeting the Museum’s aims and objectives for engagement and income generation. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented individual to shape a new series of events, at a time of growth and development.
