Job Opportunity: Interim Collections Documentation Project Manager & Museum Curator, Littlehampton

30-37 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday)

Fixed Term Contract up to 18 months
£24,313 per annum (£12.60 per hour)

Littlehampton Town Council is seeking to appoint an experienced museum professional to manage and co-ordinate the Town Museum Service with a focus on the delivery and completion of the Collections Documentation Project.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience of collections management systems and procedures as well as experience of working in a museum or similar environment. Experience of successful project management is also desirable.

The post holder is responsible for managing a small team of museum staff and volunteers, budget management and writing policies to accreditation standard.

In addition, you will need excellent communication and time management skills, be able to work on your own initiative and be confident assisting members of the public.

A postgraduate museum qualification or equivalent demonstratable experience is essential.
