Artswork empowers children and young people through arts and culture to find their voice, become skilled leaders and achieve their aspirations. They are seeking to appoint a Programme Manager for Arun Inspires - a new 3-year programme designed to facilitate an increase in arts, creative and cultural work for, with and by children and young people across the District of Arun. The programme will particularly target those with the least current access to the arts to contribute to Arts Council England’s goal to ensure every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts, museums and libraries.

The Programme Manager will develop and deliver this new Artswork programme by building and enhancing existing and new relationships and partnerships with the creative, cultural, education, youth and community sectors. The role will be responsible for attracting additional investment to ensure a long-term sustainable approach. As well as working with the Artswork team, this role will involve working closely with Arun District Council and Chichester Festival Theatre.

You will bring leadership, and strong organisational and project management skills. A demonstrable ability to work in a team, but crucially on your own initiative. You will have experience of increasing opportunities for children and young people to access arts and culture and an excellent knowledge of inclusion and diversity and of working with vulnerable children and young people, including those from disadvantaged communities. You will have experience in supporting cultural, youth and education settings to work together to realise effective approaches to cultural education and engagement.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership skills in the arts.
