Job Opportunity: Project Co-ordinator Memories Brought Home, Hampshire

Salary: £15,000 per annum. Fixed Term for 15 months. 3 days a week.

Office base: Winchester area

Wessex Heritage Trust has vacancies for two Project Co-ordinators to deliver the Memories Brought Home project, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund – one covering North Hampshire and one covering South Hampshire. Memories Brought Home will be a 15-month research project, commencing Feb 2019, carried out by Wessex Heritage Trust in partnership with three heritage sites and three social care organisations in Hampshire. The project will trial methods of engaging people who are isolated at home in the heritage of their local communities, reducing their social isolation and increasing their sense of well-being. Project Co-ordinators will identify isolated individuals and engage them in practical Memories Brought Home sessions; train volunteers to deliver MBH sessions and workshops on local history themes to isolated individuals; create group sessions and workshops for groups of individuals and arrange transport to enable their attendance. The main outcome of this project is to engage with those who are socially isolated with the aim of actively encouraging them to engage with society once more through either paid work or volunteering.
