Wednesday 16th January 2019

Wednesday 16th January 2019

Time: 9.30am - 3.30pm

Location: Museum of English Rural Life, Reading

Collecting data about visitors can sometimes be a ’tick box’ activity. Prove Your Point will explore how the information can be of greater use in planning for and growing our visitor numbers.  This one-day workshop will help sharpen up techniques around visitor consultation, and how to use data to broaden community awareness of what is on offer. This training workshop will:

Define understanding what we mean by audience data, or evidence about both visitors and ‘non visitors’.
Highlight the importance of collecting this evidence and how it can help us to increase visitor numbers.
Cover the basic skills needed for developing an evaluation framework, choosing tools and analysing data.

By the end of this training, you will:

  • Understand what we mean by audience data, and evidence about both visitors and ‘non visitors’
  • Understand the importance of collecting this evidence and how it can actually help to increase visitor numbers.
  • Have gained basic skills to support the development of an evaluation framework for your museum, including choosing tools and analysing data.
