Job Opportunity: Historic Properties Project Manager, Sussex Archaeological Society

Sussex Archaeological Society are looking for an experienced and practical project professional to help them with their historic properties operations and services. The post is offered for 18 months, starting in Oct/Nov 2018.

The post is Full –Time (A flexible working pattern will be considered). The salary for the post is circa £32,000, plus 30 days AL (incl. BH) + Benefits. The Post Holder has an option to live in on site in a one bedroom Custodian's flat, at Michelham Priory, Hailsham, East Sussex.

The post reports directly to the Chief Executive of the Society and sits within the senior management team. The post holder will work alongside their Property Managers and operational staff on a range of varied projects. This is a newly created role to help provide day to day management and project support for the major physical operational processes undertaken across the Sussex Archaeological Society.

Among other duties, the post holder will be expected to develop and implement a set of comprehensive operational and maintenance plans for the Society’s historic properties and archaeological sites and to train and upskill existing operational and property staff.

They are looking for an experienced and ambitious team player to join a unique and friendly organisation.

They are particularly interested in candidates with listed heritage building experience.
