Job title: Marketing & Events Manager

Contract: Full time / fixed term until October 2019 (possibility to become permanent)

Location: Somerset House, London

The Marketing & Events Manager will be an important member of the team responsible for designing and delivering an annual programme of events, training and workshops, resource development and network facilitation, which is designed to increase awareness and uptake of environmental best practice across the music, festivals, theatre, dance, visual arts, museums, literature, and broader creative and cultural community. This programme is delivered in partnership with associations, membership bodies, development agencies, local authorities, Arts Council England, and pivotal organisations within both the environmental sustainability sector, and the creative sector.

The Marketing & Events Manager will work closely with the CEO and the Head of Programmes to ensure that a coherent programme of industry engagement and activities take place, and that the community of organisations and individuals engaged with Julie’s Bicycle receive the most relevant, up to date, and exciting news, resources, case studies and event offers.

As a mission-driven organisation, communications and effective public positioning of our work and this issue are key, and the Marketing & Events Manager will be responsible for delivering our marketing strategy.

Outline of terms and conditions

Contract: Full time, fixed term until October 2019

Hours: 9.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £33,000

Location: Somerset House, London

Annual Leave: 25 days plus standard bank holidays

Probationary Period: 6 months.

Cultural entitlement: £250 (pro rata) to spend on cultural/arts events
