The role, shared with the existing post-holder, will lead the team of 9 contracted staff and several casual members of staff, and will take the lead on all technical and physical aspects of security risk management.

They are expected to lead on all aspects of security policy for Hove Museum, Booth Museum and Preston Manager, and lead on all emergencies and incidents (such as theft, vandalism or accidental damage, power failure, flooding, leaks and medical emergencies, terrorism threats and fire evacuation), ensuring compliance with regulations & procedures.
The post-holder will have experience of leading and managing a team of people with public-facing roles as the line management of the Visitor Services Officers is a crucial part of the role. The post-holder will lead a team of 9 contracted frontline staff and 9 casual members of staff to deliver a first class visitor experience. This ranges from the visitor welcome, which includes the presentation and cleanliness of the galleries and spaces, to meeting admissions, retail and donations income targets. The Duty Manager must ensure that staff absentees are covered.
The Duty Managers are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of fire, security, CCTV, access control and patrol systems. They also take the lead on investigating, analysing and assessing high-level security-related risks in liaison with internal and external agencies.

A Security Industry Authority qualification is desirable. Significant experience of working in a security management role, and experience of managing teams of staff, is essential.
A positive attitude to cultural change and a willingness to lead & support staff through such change is essential, as the Royal Pavilion & Museums moves towards Trust Status during 2018.

Deadline application is midnight 18th Feb. Interviews are likely to be 28th Feb.
