Security Review 'sharing day'

Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations.  We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Please contact joanna.low@brighton-hove.gov.uk to register your interest.

Museums at Night 2014 - Children's Authors

Culture24 are offering museums the chance to host a children’s/young adults' author for Museums at Night 2014.

Every year they collaborate with the Reading Agency to connect Museums at Night venues with authors to be part of their festival events, without charging an appearance fee.

Find out more about this exciting opportunity and download the list of 21 writers whose books are targeted at children and young adults - including How to Train your Dragon author Cressida Cowell and Bartimaeus author and ghost specialist Jonathan Stroud.

If you’d like to invite one of these authors to your venue for Museums at Night, please call Nick or Rosie on 01273 623336.
