MUPI Research Matchmaker project: please complete our short survey
Please complete our short survey to help inform some user research being carried out into a new digital Museum-University Research Platform, currently entitled the 'Research Matchmaker'.
The South East Museum Development Programme is a partner in a cross-institutional project, seed funded by the Arts Council through the Museum-University Partnership Initiative (MUPI). Our project is exploring the possibility of developing a digital platform matching up academic researchers with curators of exciting but under-researched museum collections.
Our proposed platform aims to bring academics and museums together to collaborate on exciting new projects: generating funding, producing new academic research and staging public exhibitions.
An important part of this process is to carry out research exploring how museum curators feel about the proposed Research Matchmaker platform, and what sort of functionality would make it useful to them.
We’ve put together surveys for both academics and curators and are hoping to gain insights from both sectors to help inform the design and development of our site. Survey responses will be used to frame the design of a project prototype, which will be tested at a workshop at Solent University on the 14th December 2017.
Links to the surveys are below, and will be live until the 27th October:
If you would be interested in joining us for the 14th December workshop around this project, please do also indicate this at the end of your form. Spaces are limited so do let us know as soon as possible if you'd like to join!
Surveys take no longer than 15 minutes to complete, and would be of enormous help to us as we develop this project..
We hope to hear from you soon!
