Job Opportunity: Skills for the Future Support Officer, Sussex Archaeological Society,Lewes

We are looking for an individual with experience and a commitment to the heritage sector and who can help support individuals who are seeking to move into employment in the heritage sector. The post holder will ideally be an individual who has some experience in ancient crafts and reconstruction archaeology.  Prior experience in HLF funded initiatives would be an advantage. Experience in the development and delivery of training which is appropriate to the requirements of individuals with a wide range of learning needs would be helpful.  You will have strong demonstrable skills in the production of reports and written documentation.

The post is for a fixed term 12 month period to help deliver a training project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) under its Skills for the Future (SFF) programme. The program is focused on creating paid, high quality training and work experience opportunities for new entrants to the heritage sector, and helping to sustain the heritage sector in the longer term. The SFF programme also aims to increase the diversity within the heritage workforce.
