The purpose of this project is to take forward the work of National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing. The Alliance was established in 2015 as a place where information about museums and health can be shared, to improve best practice, help build resilience and provide resources, training and support. Arts Council England has awarded funding to a national consortium of partners, led by UCL Culture, to take forward Phase 2 of the National Alliance of Museums, Health & Wellbeing.
The post holder will have responsibility for managing all key aspects of the project, including coordinating working relationships with a range of museum partners and other key stakeholders, and ensuring the achievement of all key deliverables and milestones. A key aspect of the role is to work closely with the Alliance Board (comprising representatives of the consortium) and establish a network of new strategic partners including: Public Health England, Happy Museum Project; Age Friendly Museums Network; Age of Creativity; Group for Education in Museums; Sport in Museums Network; Cultural Commissioning Project and The Wellcome Trust.
The 18-month project will include a series of activities to continue the work of the Alliance; raise sector awareness; organise a number of regional training workshops; develop online training materials; and share good practice.
The post is funded for 18 months in the first instance.
