Job Opportunity: Cultural Engagement Coordinator, Hampshire Cultural Trust

Salary: circa £25,000 (FTE)

Location: Fareham/South East Hampshire

Hours: 37 hours per week (full time)

Type of Contract: Permanent

Hampshire Cultural Trust seeks to champion, showcase, connect and empower Hampshire’s culture and its creative economy. The trust manages and supports 26 arts venues and museums across Hampshire showcasing the county’s rich heritage.

Better Life Chances is a new team within Hampshire Cultural Trust that aims to dedicate greater resource to reaching those who are most vulnerable or disadvantaged and who would not usually have access to arts and culture. The team focuses on the specialisms of Young People, Older People, Schools and Community, and seeks to attract external resources to the trust. Working flexibly with colleagues within the team and a wide range of partners both statutory and voluntary, Better Life Chances creates opportunities to help improve lives through cultural engagement across Hampshire.

We require an additional member to join our team. You will have a good knowledge of key aspects of arts and heritage project work and experience of finding funding for projects, managing small projects or assisting in large ones. You will be outcome focused and knowledgeable about evaluation and advocacy.

This role will have a specialism for work with Older People, although there will be opportunity to work across all of the specialisms of Young People, Older People, Schools and Community as part of a flexible team.

As an energetic, highly organised and self-motivated individual, you will be as comfortable working alone as with the wider team, and you will have an eye for detail. You will be required to travel around the county and on occasion, beyond.
