Watts Gallery Trust is seeking to recruit a Marketing Manager
Salary £35-40,000 pro rata

This is an exciting time of change for the Watts Gallery Trust and the Marketing Manager’s post is pivotal to the future success of the Artists’ Village in Compton. The priority is the Watts bicentenary in 2017, the marketing of the key exhibitions and learning events, as well as the Watts Contemporary exhibitions in the Pottery Building, the Tea Shop, the Watts Chapel and appeal to save the Watts house – Limnerslease. Watts Gallery Trust has just secured a major grant from the Arts Council to develop its audiences and increase its resilience. The post holder will be responsible for managing this project. The successful candidate must demonstrate a sound understanding of all aspects of marketing, PR and media and brand management. Sound experience of digital marketing, website management and development, CRM and online ticketing is also essential, as these skills will be very beneficial to the Arts Council funded Resilience project. There is a need to balance the more technical marketing skills with an eye for creative design as the design work is done in-house. Footfall needs to reach 40,000 by 2017 (the Watts bicentenary) to generate the funds and profile to make the vision of Watts Gallery Trust viable. The Marketing Manager has an opportunity to put Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village on the national and international list of visitor destinations.
Applicants should have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing, ideally in the museum and gallery sector, and have line management experience and the skills base to deliver the priorities for Watts Gallery Trust.
