Sustainability Project Sharing Day

28th March 2018, Kelmscott Manor, Lechlade, GL7 3HJ

Kelmscott Manor invites museums from around the area to come and find out more about their Arts Council England Resilience funded sustainability project and the Manor's plans, and to hear about what they have learnt.

In a time of political and economic uncertainty and an ever increasing demand on resources, Kelmscott Manor is looking for innovative ways to increase its profile and become more sustainable so that the Manor and its heritage will continue to attract visitors and be maintained for future generations. The day will feature talks about the project and also a talk by a professional fundraiser with a specialism in museums.

Lunch will be provided and a tour of the beautiful property will also be offered. The manor, famed for their cream teas, has been described as an 'utterly beautiful slice of heaven', and this is a day not to be missed! 

Grants update from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation

HIWCF is delighted to announce the launch of the new £1 million Solent Community Grant Programme, a truly collaborative programme supported by the European Social Fund.

The fund provides grants of £10,000 to £30,000 to organisations working in the Solent LEP area who are able to reach and work with individuals with complex barriers to employment, enabling them to move closer or into employment.

Round 1 is now open for applications until 23rd September 2016.

Acceptable project examples include involvement in community-based projects and supportive volunteering that develop employment skills and leads to job searching.

We also have additional grants available, funds are now open for applications until 29th July 2016:


Grants of up to £5,000 supporting a wide range of beneficiaries including young people, older people, health & disability, medical research and general community projects. The priority of these funds are for Portsmouth City residents.


Grants of up to £5,000 for projects in the Portsmouth area which support people in need over the age of 50, with preference being given to Naval men and women or their widows. 


Grants of up to £5,000 for projects supporting the role of Community Youth Development Workers.


Grants of up to £5,000 are available to support local social clubs and social networks that help local people over 18 to increase independence, improve confidence (particularly where there is a long term condition involved), and reduce isolation.
