Under the Accreditation scheme a Museum Mentor provides the museum with professional advice and input into policy development and decision-making.
To be a Museum Mentor you must have:
• A minimum of 5 years of working professionally within a museum and with recent experience at a curator/manager level
• Relevant or linked qualification
• A commitment to CPD
Research has shown that you should expect to provide up to 4 days a year support to the museum, including a minimum of two site visits.
If you would like to discuss the role further or express your interest in any of the mentoring opportunities above, please contact Kate Hebditch on 01305 268603 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Museum Mentoring is a voluntary role but it is expected that the mentored museum will pay out of pocket expenses.
