Fantastic turnout for First World War Centenary networking event

Over a hundred people from arts and heritage organisations across the sub-region packed Winchester's Guildhall last week for the Hampshire Solent Museum Development Programme's First World War Centenary networking event.

The event included briefings on key funding and partnership opportunities as well as facilitated sessions which helped put people in touch with others they can work with in future.

Here are just some of the comments from the event's feedback board: 'This has been an extremely worthwhile event that will, I am sure, enhance all we are attempting to do for this important commemoration', 'A really useful and fruitful event. Lots of contacts!!', 'A wonderfully inspiring day.'

Katerina Kremmida, Cultural Partnerships Officer, said 'The enthusiasm and excitement in the room were amazing. People are already telling us about the new things they'll be doing because of the contacts they made today.'
