Curator Fellowship Opportunity supported by the Art Fund
Gasworks is the hub of the Triangle Network, an international network of arts organisations and projects, mostly based in Africa, Asia and South America. The Network’s main activities include artists’ workshops, residencies, exhibitions and events that promote international mobility and exchanges.
One such project is our Fellowship Programme, which enables UK-based artists and curators to spend between 4 and 8 weeks in residence with a Triangle partner to carry out research and/or develop new work influenced by dialogue with the host organisation and a new artistic context. The partnership and support of the Art Fund has enabled Gasworks, for the first time, to extend the fellowships to two curators working in UK institutions wanting to conduct research and develop their knowledge of a different artistic context.
Fellowship hosts, Bisagra (Peru) and VASL (Pakistan), are artists and curators-led grass-roots organisations focusing on the support of emerging contemporary practice and debates. They hold an important role in their local networks which include peers as well as museums, universities and other institutions.
