Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteers for the Mary Rose Museum

Do you enjoy meeting new people and working in a team?
Would you love to welcome visitors to the award-winning Mary Rose Museum when we re-open this summer?
Are you keen to learn?
If so, you might be just the person we are looking for!
We are recruiting a number of new museum volunteers to help us deliver consistently excellent customer service and interpretation to all our visitors in a friendly and varied team. As part of being a volunteer at the Mary Rose we will ensure you will receive full training, be invited to monthly meetings, receive regular communication and updates as well as be invited to social occasions.
We need people to deliver an exceptional world class experience in a combination of the following:
- Welcome and Orientation – in the visitor reception and the museum
- Retail – assisting in our busy museum shop
- Galleries – telling the story of the Mary Rose, her crew and artefacts
- Events – enhancing the exceptional events we deliver
- Education – helping to deliver workshops to primary and secondary pupils

Open Afternoon at the Mary Rose Museum – 31st May 2016:
As part of National Volunteers’ Week come down and speak to the team and our current volunteers about what opportunities we have and what’s coming in the new Museum (Opening Summer 2016).

We welcome people from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
These roles may involve weekend and evening work.
