Job Opportunity: Costumed Interpreters (Casual) at Milestones, Hampshire Cultural Trust
£8.07 per hour

Work is on an ad hoc basis, and regular patterns are not guaranteed. Work can be at short notice, and can include weekends and public holidays, and possible occasional evenings and special events
Hampshire arts and museums are now operated and funded by Hampshire Cultural Trust. The trust champions world-class culture and exists to showcase, connect and empower Hampshire's creative economy. The independent charity works collaboratively to bring organisations, people and ideas together for greater impact. The trust is looking to recruit casual Costumed Interpreters who will bring Milestones Museum alive for our visitors.
Working mostly in costume, you will share information about Milestones and provide context for its collections for the benefit of a wide range of visitors and school groups. You will also demonstrate the operation of selected objects from the collection and undertake a variety of customer service roles in support of significant events.
You will be an enthusiastic and effective communicator with an interest in bringing history to life for the enjoyment of others. You will be able to talk knowledgeably about Milestones, its objects, themes and stories. Duties also include acting as a fire marshal and as an added level of security to the collections in the museum. There will also be the opportunity to work at other Hampshire Cultural Trust sites.
