Security Review 'sharing day'

Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations.  We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Rebuilding Bodies and Souls: Learning and Community Engagement Officer Job Opportunity

As part of East Grinstead Museum’s ‘Rebuilding Bodies and Souls Project‘ an exciting opportunity has arisen for a ‘Learning and Community Engagement Officer’ (PT).

The role is to:

  • Use the Queen Victoria Hospital and Guinea Pig Club collections to develop an interesting, exciting and engaging Learning & Events Programme to be delivered across East Grinstead and further afield in community and public venues such as community centres, village halls, schools, libraries, residential homes and day centres.
  • Develop an Audience Engagement Plan in order to establish learning at the heart of the Museum’s activities and as a driver for its policies and practices and to act as the Museum’s advocate for learning including public speaking, stakeholder engagement and speaking to peers.
  • Identify, establish and maintain partnerships with regional and national learning organisations, community groups and initiatives as well as maintain and develop existing partnerships.
