Security Review 'sharing day'

Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations.  We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Please contact joanna.low@brighton-hove.gov.uk to register your interest.

ArtFund sponsored bursaries to attend Symposium: Working Together – The Impact of Artists on Institutions

The Art Fund is offering 10 bursaries for travel and admission to East Contemporary Visual Arts Network's symposium exploring the dynamic relationship between artist, curator and organisation; looking at how collaborations on new projects and commissions allows for institutional methodologies and processes to be challenged and changed.

There will be a keynote lecture by Beatrix Ruf with Ed Atkins, case studies, a chance to see the exhibition Duh? Art & Stupidity, and break-out sessions which will focus on specific subjects (such as working with communities and collections). There will be a drinks reception and a performance to celebrate the closing of the exhibition.

Deadline for applications is at noon on Friday, 18 March
