Security Review 'sharing day'

Accredited museums must obtain expert and objective security advice for collections at least every five years and plan to implement any recommendations.  We are interested to find out if there are museums in west Kent who are due a review of their security arrangements and would benefit from a 'sharing day' with a consultant security advisor to help meet the Accreditation requirement. Please contact joanna.low@brighton-hove.gov.uk to register your interest.

Arts Council England's Large Capital Grants fund is open to applicants

Art Council's Capital investment programme supports organisations to develop resilience by giving them the right buildings and equipment to deliver their work, and to become more sustainable and resilient businesses.

Read more about the Capital investment programme for 2012-15 here.

Arts Council will invest £88 million of National Lottery funding in large capital grants over the 2015-18 period.  They have split the available budget over two application rounds: £45 million in the first round and £43 million in the second.

The first round is open to applications now, and closes 12pm on 27 August 2015.

There is a two-stage application process for Capital projects, details of which are provided in the Guidance for applicants.

Applicants can apply for £500,000 and over, for large Capital grants. Grants of £5 million or more are likely to be exceptional.

You are strongly advised to discuss with your Arts Council area office the amount of funding for which you are applying.
