Final conference of the EU Comenius Regio project EASIER
'Facing the Great War EASIER' (Educational Adaptive Script for Interactive Exchange on Remembrance)
Brugges, 29th April
Within the scope of the EASIER project, partners from Kent (UK) and West Flanders (Belgium) have developed a script and guide for secondary school teachers planning cross border exchanges on the theme of WWI.
To do this the partners have not only called upon teachers and schools, but also drawn on the expertise of educational advisors, the heritage sector, museums, the province of West Flanders and the University of Kent. They have used innovative didactic tools and actively involved students.
The final product is a useful guide for teachers for excursions to/projects between West Flanders and Kent.
A conference is taking place in Brugges on 29th April to launch the guide. Kent County Council have organised free coach travel to and from the event with pick up points in Gravesend, Maidstone and Folkestone and is offering places to Kent heritage organisations related to / with a keen focus on the First World War.
