There are many networks across the region that the MDOs work with; these networks focus on partnership working, shared training and peer support.
For Specialist Subject Networks (SSN), visit the Oxford ASPIRE website.
Just click on the sub-region link on the left under the calendar to filter the information to your requirements.
Berkshire Museums Group
The group is open to all museums in Berkshire. Organised by the MDO, the group meets three times a year, moving around the museums who take it in turns to host.
BOB Museum Development Advisory Panel
The work of the BOB Museum Development team is informed and guided by an Advisory Panel of individuals drawn from the local museum community.
The Advisory Panel is a conduit between the wider museum community and the Museum Development Programme and ensures that their activities remain relevant to the needs of the local museums. The Panel Members, collectively and individually, act as “critical friends” to the Museum Development Officer by informing and guiding the delivery of the annual activity plan.
BOB Museums Strategy Group
The BOB Museum Strategy group is a self-run network focusing on the strategic vision for museums in the region and partnership working.
BOB Heritage Volunteer Managers Forum
The group is open to all museum staff and volunteers with a remit for managing volunteers. Meetings are held quarterly and are hosted by the member museums.
BOB Learning and Interpretation Network
‘BOBLI’ is a self-run network open to all museums across BOB and focuses on learning in museums. Members are learning officers, and staff and volunteers with a learning remit.
Buckinghamshire Museums Group
The group is open to all museums in Buckinghamshire. The group meets three times a year, moving around the museums who take it in turns to host and chair with the support of the MDO.
