SEWS Training: Introduction to Accreditation and One-to-One Accreditation Surgeries.

Thursday 27th February 2014

Venue: Ditchling Museum, East Sussex. (nearest station: Hassocks - 15 minute walk, lifts will be available)

This session is aimed at those in museums (and their Museum Mentors, where relevant) who are responsible for completing their museum's Accreditation Return (i.e those museums in tranches 15 - 20 of the revised ACE Accreditation Returns Schedule).

It will take place at the recently re-opened Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, and the workshop leader is Elaine Sansom, ACE Regional Accreditation Advisor.

The workshop will be split into two sessions - a workshop in the morning, followed by pre-booked, 1-to-1 advice surgeries in the afternoon.

We have space for c25 people in the morning, and the closing date for bookings is Wednesday, 19th February 2014.

The outline agenda for the group session in the morning is as follows:

 10.00-10.25: Arrival and refreshments

10.30 - 12.45:

  • Update on the roll-out of Accreditation 2011
  • What is different this time? Introduction to the new requirements of Accreditation and support resources.
  • Feed back from the Assessors on what is wanted - plus exercise.
  • Forward Plans as required by Accreditation - plus exercise

 12.45-1.30: Lunch

1.30-1.45: Forward Plans - exercise continued.
