With Open Arms: Non-user consultation in museums
Thursday 23rd November 2017
Are you looking for better ways to meet the Museum Accreditation requirements to consult with non-users? Or maybe you wonder how to get more from non-user consultations without spending £1,000s? Maybe we can help!
Earlier this year, 4 local museums signed up to join 'Open Arms - Hampshire Solent Non User Consultation Project 2017'. As a result, they planned and delivered new non-user consultation projects with help from Christina Lister, an expert in marketing and consultation. The four project partners are:
Bursledon Brickworks Industrial Museum
St Barbe Museum in Lymington
Jane Austen House Museum
Find out how they have been gathering new insights and ideas on a tight budget.
This event will feature two distinct parts. In the morning, we will hear from the project partners about their experience. After lunch, Christina will run a half-day training session for you to learn more about how best to deliver non-user consultation.
10.00am Arrival & Welcome
10.15am Case studies from the project partners
12.30pm Lunch break
1.00pm 'How to deliver non-user consultation' with Christina Lister
This event is open for booking and free of charge for all staff, volunteers and trustees from Accredited Museums or those that are formerly recognised as Working Towards Accreditation (WTA) by Arts Council England in the South East of England.
