FREE Digital Skills workshop: How to use Powtoon Animations, Tuesday 8th August, 11am-4pm, Egham, Surrey.
Tuesday 8th August 2017
The South East Museum Development Programme is partnering up with Royal Holloway, University of London as part of the Citizens Project, to invite regional museums & galleries to take part in a FREE Digital Skills workshop.
The workshop, which will be held at the Royal Holloway campus in Surrey, will introduce participants to the free version of Powtoon, a basic animation tool that museum staff and volunteers can use easily to create short videos to make their marketing messages and knowledge work more visually exciting.
Royal Holloway staff will show participants a video, explain how they made it and then guide participants in producing their own video based on the history of their own museum. Advice will be given on how to write an engaging and concise script and voiceovers will be recorded on site.
This training offer is also great timing as The Big Draw’s October festival theme this year is Animation! So bring your campaigns & collections to life by signing up to this unique & fun training offer quickly as space is limited to 20 participants only!
Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
